Voting Question: Why is WIC highly encouraged for families that may not need it?

First, I am not bashing the government of the spending for those that need it because I'm fully aware that recent hard times have caused many people to need more resources to feed their families. With all that being said, I, personally, have found it to be quite disturbing how a government funded program is being HIGHLY encouraged for my family of 3 to apply for WIC because we supposedly meet the income requirements. We are military with only one person who works (my husband who deploys too frequently for me to work and care for our daughter in addition to taking care of everything else). My husband brings in about $36,000 a year excluding housing, insurance, electric etc which does not count towards income requirements for WIC. Since we also live in Hawaii, the income requirement is less to qualify. I get all this on paper it may seem that we are poor. However, we are not poor!! We live by the beach, own 3 cars (no payments because we bought what we could afford), one motorcycle, two dirt bikes, have zero debt, are buying a house cash, and put over $1500 a month (a least) into savings. We budget our money well and can afford groceries and always have extra money, so I can't understand why we are being asked repeatedly if we have applied for WIC. It would be embarrassing to me to walk around in Coach shoes and wear Betsey Johnson apparel while paying for my groceries with basically food stamps. What I think people don't know about military families is that many do use WIC, but they also have brand new cars, own homes, wear designer clothes/handbags (more expensive than Coach), and have lots of money to spend. Yet, they get WIC. How are those in my situation supposed to learn financial responsibility and independence if we are being basically harassed into applying and receiving WIC from superiors when we can afford to buy food? That is what I mean. I am a college-educated woman who received A's in all her health, biology, and nutrition classes. It is deeming that I would need that. The military provides FREE nutrition education for families That is $105 a month for 3 ppl. It you use coupons and follow ads effectively, you can spend less than that a month on groceries at the commissary and neighborhood markets.

I've been looking at race suits for track days and spirited riding trips. The name brand suits go from $700-$1200. I am 6'7 and slim so buying off the shelf isn't even an option meaning get a custom suit which would be over $1,000. Resolved Question: Clothing to wear to a job interview?

I'm going for a job interview for a motorcycle apparel and accessory store and am not sure on what to wear for my interview. I've been told a nice pair of jeans and a button down shirt with nice boots, I've also been told black slacks and a button down shirt, obviously one is more dressed up than the other so I'm unsure how to dress. The dress code at the store is jeans if that makes any difference. I'm a female, if that even matters

Resolved Question: 1973 VW Bettle or a 2012 Suzuki Boulevard s40?

So, I've had my VW Bettle for almost 3 years now and I'm still not able to drive it. I needed money to fix it up and I couldn't fix it up be cause I didn't have money. I needed a job for money, couldn't get a job without a car. IT just goes in circles. I have always been into anything with wheels whether it be a car, truck, motorcycle, tractor, airplane, etc. I was all over it, but for my first car I decided on a 1973 VW Beetle that needed to be fixed up. After 3 years I'm still needing to fix the brake line, bleed the brakes, extentions, redo the drivers seat, tires, inspection(yes, it's had its inspections previously)and lift the bug(it has been slammed). But to lift it it would need to be fabricated because they cut, dropped, then welded it. THEN, I need to learn how to drive a standard. Yes, I know I shouldn't have bought it without knowing but my bf at the time talked me into it(not saying I didn't want one) and promised me he'd teach me how to drive it. We broke up a year later. My brother has a motorcycle, it's a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard M50(I believe). Actually a good amount of family members own motorcycles in my family. Well, my brother went to look at a motorcycle last year at a dealership and of course I went with him. I found a 2011 Suzuki Boulevard s40 for sale for about $3,000. Apparently, the original owner bought the bike and decided she wanted something bigger. She was a female on the shorter side who had the seat costume made. I can sit on it and touch the ground almost fully. But I assume her behind was a little bigger than mine so the sides of the seat stuck into my leg. If it was more slimmed down, I would be golden! I fell in love with the bike and honestly hated when the time came to leave. I wanted to sell my car for the bike, I but the bug on CL but within the next week the bike was gone. Yes, I would still have to learn how to drive the motorcycle, but I wouldn't have to do anything with it other than the seat and of course by some apparel for it. Which I already have a helmet and a jacket, I would need some better boots and chaps perhaps. I do have a part-time job at the moment but need something more, I'm not sure. I know ultimately the decision is mine, but I'd like your advice about this. Sorry for so long, and thank you in advance for everything. God Bless y'all!
